Arbuzovskoye UGS is a complex of engineering and technical structures and natural reservoirs in an aquifer reservoir.

This is a special-purpose facility, primarily designed to manage the seasonal unevenness of gas supply in the gas supply system of the life-support facilities of the capital of Tatarstan and smooth seasonal fluctuations in the fuel and energy balance of the Republic.

This is achieved by storing natural gas in an underground reservoir during the gas withdrawal period (spring-summer) and feeding it from the reservoir to the consumer during the gas extraction period (autumn-winter)
